Louis Vuitton, Fall 2009
I remember how controversial this collection was at the time; you either loved it, or you hated it. That’s sort of the motto for every collection Marc Jacobs designs, and it’s why his shows are so highly anticipated every season. The mix of colors, textures, proportions, and wild accessories combined to make a creative and memorable collection that still speaks to me four years later, and is a reminder that, at least in my opinion, Marc is one of the most talented American designers of this generation.

This is one of my favorite Louis Vuitton collections to date. The shoes, the silhouettes, the supermodels, the sleek hair and makeup, it all makes me happy. Nothing like a Barbie meets Betty Draper feel to brighten the day.
